Eiffel Scholarship

The Eiffel Scholarship Programme of Excellence is a tool developed by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) aimed at helping French higher education institutions attract the best international students pursuing Masters and Doctoral degrees.  The program is run through Campus France on behalf of the MEAE.  Each year, the International Relations Office (BRI) at Université Paris Diderot invites international candidates to apply to the Eiffel Scholarship through a degree at our institution.

All foreign nationalls are eligible to apply for an Eiffel Scholarship.  Those who hold French citizenship are not eligible to apply.

At the Masters level, the Office of International Relations (BRI) at Université Paris Diderot is your point of contact for the Eiffel Scholarship.  With the assistance of the BRI, you are  put in contact with the officer(s) of the degree to which you wish to apply.  These officer(s) pre-select candidates at the Masters level.

You must first be pre-selected by the Masters degree of your choice before being able to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship.  Université Paris Diderot will be obligated to enroll candidates who receive the Eiffel Scholarship.

At the Doctoral level, you directly contact the Eiffel Scholarship coordinator within the Department of Doctoral Degrees at Université Paris Diderot with your dossier (CV/cover letter).  The university academic department for the doctoral degree for which you apply will pre-select candidates.  Special attention will be paid to candidates pursuing a joint thesis (cotutelle).*

You must first be pre-selected by the Doctoral degree of your choice before being able to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship.  Université Paris Diderot will be obligated to enroll candidates who receive the Eiffel Scholarship.

At the Masters level, candidates complete their Eiffel application in conjunction with an officer of the degree to which they were admitted.  The BRI verifies, completes, and sends the application to Campus France for final selection.

At the Doctoral level, candidates complete their Eiffel application with the faculty for the program to which they were admitted.  The application is sent to the Department of Doctoral Degrees for verification and completion.  The BRI sends the application to Campus France for final selection.

You must be pre-selected by the degree to which you wish to apply by the week of November 19, 2018.   If you are pre-selected, you will then be able to fill out a scholarship application.  This application is due to the BRI by December 9, 2018, at midnight.  No application will be accepted after that date.  Applicants will be notified in March 2019 whether Campus France has selected them for an Eiffel Scholarship.
